I chose Benjamin Franklin's quote, "When the well's dry, we know the worth of water."  This quote means that we don't know the value of something we take advantage of until it is gone.  I 100%  agree with this quote because we don't realize the true value of some of the things we use everyday.  Even an object with the tiniest importance to us can be of great use that we don't realize until it gets taken away.  For example, a door.  Usually people don't even notice how many times they open and close a door but they do it every day.  Imagine if you didn't have a door.  This could change a lot of things.  It could be colder in your room, less privacy, you could hear noises from outside constantly, and so on.  Even a door matters and it has almost no respect.
The past 2 weeks we have been studying Latin America. We have been reading from Unit 3 of our book and we have taken many quizzes and tests. It has been very stressful, but i'm hanging in there. I can't wait for Thanksgiving break and Halloween. I also am excited for moving on to studying Unit 4 and learning about Europe.

Illegal Immigration

We have millions of illegal immigrants in the United States. Some of the reasons they have come to our country is to escape various thing such as civil war, slavery, repression, abuse, oppression, etc. Some of the most commonly found illegal immigrants are from Mexico coming into California, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. These immigrants are bad to our country because they are over-populating the country.
I feel that our country should enforce the border patrol more and stop letting so many immigrants in to our country because we already have enough people, we don't need anymore. I think this is a very big issue at this time and we need to do something about it.
